Russian and Ukrainian women have found a warm place in the hearts of Western men that has been left vacant, and largely unfulfilled by their American and European counterparts. As intelligent, hard-working professionals and career women, Russian women do not consider themselves successful until they have married a loving husband and engendered children.
Why Do Russian Women Seek Husbands Abroad?
There are numerous myths circulating that falsely explain why these beautiful women seek men from other countries, and particularly the United States. In truth, Russian women are proud of their heritage and would give everything they own to find happiness at home, but it is both mathematically and socially impossible. Consider these facts:
- There are approximately 10 million more women in the Former Soviet Union (FSU) than there are eligible men.
- A woman over the age of 25 is not likely to find a suitable husband in Russia or neighboring states.
- A divorced or widowed woman with children will usually never find a new husband in her homeland.
- In many families, Russian women carry the full burden of child-rearing, homemaking and bread-winning.
- Many older Russian men have become abusive, egocentric, social alcoholics and are not at all family-oriented.
The average Russian or Ukrainian girl does not specifically choose between marrying a man in her country versus seeking a husband in another country. She chooses to pursue the opportunity of becoming a wife and mother abroad, rather than spending her life in unfulfilled solitude at home.
