On September 24, 2010, British postman Michael Williams, 29, was sentenced to eight and one half years in prison. Williams, who was arrested in February 2010 later pleaded guilty to 27 charges including having sex with persons under the age of 16, making indecent images and inciting minors to engage in sex acts over the Internet. Williams was investigated after a 15-year-old girl discovered child pornography on his computer and went to the police.
The bisexual Williams admitted having improper sexual relationships with six girls and two boys. In addition to being a postman, Williams also drove a taxi and was the secretary of a football club in Penryn, Cornwall. These positions gave him access to the children who he ended up sexually abusing.
As well as this actual sexual abuse, police discovered that he had taken surreptitious pictures of nude children, both at the football club where he was secretary and while children were changing at public beaches.
